FINCA Canada

Financial Inclusion

Purpose

Scale access to financial services

Why We Partnered

This project will establish different channels for financial products that can serve rural and underserved communities in a cost effective way. FINCA will build upon its pilots and industry best practice to develop and roll out new product channels, including point of sale devices, light branches and kiosks, agent networks, and mobile services in rural and underserved communities in three countries. FINCA will train its middle management and front-line staff to support the roll-out of its new delivery channels and products, and to shift their orientation from credit-centric products to a broader range of financial services, savings in particular. This training includes development of innovative adult and e-learning technologies to build staff capacity.
