The MasterCard Foundation has partnered with Global Communities to prepare young people for employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in the rapidly growing construction sector in Ghana. The partnership will also strengthen the capacity of local vocational training centres in order for them to expand training and other services to their members. Global Communities will work with financial institutions to provide financial education and refine a range of financial services and products for youth.
Global Communities will be the lead partner of this project and will leverage the expertise of five other organizations to deliver a holistic program to disadvantaged youth. This consortium brings together five partners with complementary expertise in training, financial inclusion, business development and employment matching. Each partner has a strong in-country presence and deep sector-specific knowledge. All partners have strong ties with private sector actors, which will ensure that the holistic approach of the Youth Livelihoods model and strategy are implemented.
