Financial Inclusion

Address gaps in the expertise of financial service providers to offer digital financial services to low-income clients

Why We Partnered:

West African agent banking networks are growing at a rapid pace, but providers lack internal capacity and understanding of customer needs, technology, and business and operational models. MicroSave offers practical operations and strategic support and policy guidance, which to date has resulted in many organizations adopting new strategies and approaches to increase outreach to the poor. MicroSave strengthens the capacity of institutions to deliver market-led, scalable financial services to all people. MicroSave will design and implement a training program for financial service providers, mobile network operators and third-party providers to support the deployment of products and services through well-managed agent networks for low-income and rural populations. The training program will impact 700 practitioners from more than 275 organizations in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) region, as well as the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Madagascar.
