Youth Livelihoods

Expand skills training, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for youth in the agribusiness, construction, and hospitality and tourism sectors.

Why We Partnered

In 2012, Swisscontact was one of three projects supported by the Foundation as part our “Learn, Earn and Save” initiative, with the intention of scaling models that worked. Swisscontact implemented its U-LEARN project, which prepares young people that have limited formal education with access to technical, entrepreneurship and life-skills training. The second phase of this partnership, starting in 2016, will scale up facilitation of community-based training, to deliver relevant skills to youth, facilitate the entry of youth into employment and provide young entrepreneurs with access to financial services, financial literacy and business development support
