What Will It Take to Implement the SDG Agenda?

We are now live in the post-2015 SDG Agenda.  September saw the formal adoption of the ambitious and wide-ranging Sustainable Development Goals, which will guide the future of global efforts to address social, economic, cultural and environmental change.

Over the past year, The MasterCard Foundation has helped spur a global effort to ensure that philanthropic organizations are more active stakeholders in this work.

What will this work look like?

This September, Reeta Roy moderated a panel entitled Setting the Scene at 99 Days to Implementation at the Ford Foundation, where representatives from government and philanthropy shared their views on how the SDGs are impacting the way organizations work together. Panelists included: David Donohue (Ireland’s Permanent Representative to the UN and Co-Facilitator of the Post-2015 Process), Alejandro Gamboa Castilla (Director, Colombian Agency for International Cooperation), Franky Welirang (Chair, Philanthropy Association of Indonesia) and Peter Langharn (Incoming President, Conrad N. Hilton Foundation).
